Our Services

It’s about bringing it all together. That’s not just a philosophy; it’s a physical, psychological and practical reality here. Post Rehab Solutions has taken innovative practitioners from multiple disciplines of health and wellness and fused them together into a team practice where your care is not only extended, it reaches solutions to make you feel and live your best.

Neurodynamics
Are you feeling numbness, tingling, or pain? Neurodynamics or nerve flossing is a specialized diagnostic and treatment technique that targets nerve disorders. This technique helps relieve symptoms associated with common conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, and arm pain. Imagine your nerve as a string in your arm or hip and if that string is shortened due to trauma, it causes tension in the areas above or below. This technique targets lengthening that string to allow for full range of motion.
Ultrasound
When people hear about ultrasound, they usually think of a prenatal screening where they get to find out if they are having a boy or a girl. The type of ultrasound we use at the office functions on a therapeutic frequency instead of a diagnostic one. There are three primary benefits to ultrasound: • Speeds up of the healing process by increasing blood flow to the area being treated. • Decreases pain through the reduction of swelling and edema. • Aids in softening ligaments and tendons around joints thereby decreasing pain.
E-Stim
Electronic Muscle Stimulation or something we like to refer to it as, E-Stim. This therapeutic device supplies a low-level electrical impulse that stimulates the underlying nerve fibers and blocks pain signals to the brain. It also causes the brain to release endorphins which are your body’s natural analgesic.
McKenzie Method
This is one of the preferred methods of treatment used at the facility and is great for lumbar and cervical disc issues. It is all about empowerment of the patient. With McKenzie Method, you will be assessed during the consultation part of your appointment. From there, the doctor will come to a diagnosis and begin treatment. This treatment entails exercises that you are taught in office to aid you in beginning self-care for your concern. The end goal is fewer sessions and occurring costs both during treatment as well as down the road. Why? Because quality of care is about giving you, the patient, the tools to succeed in either fixing your issue all together or maintaining it. With this method, you may have an exercise or a couple of exercises that you perform multiple times a day at home and then receive treatment from the doctor once or twice a week in the office until you and the doctor are satisfied with your results and pain levels.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) Gua Sha, also known as spooning, scraping, or coining is a technique in which your doctor or therapist will use an instrument such as a spoon, in a unidirectional stroke on a lubricated surface area of the body. This motion is continued until petechiae (a red or purple spot on the skin) has occurred. This is similar to the circular purples marks that you see when Cupping is performed and can last anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks as the area heals. Simply put, this method helps relieve the body of coagulated blood, toxins, and irons out the connective tissue (fascia) that surrounds the muscles and moves stagnated lymph. When the fascia of a muscle is bound by itself or by scar tissue due to a surgery or previous injury, it will continue to decrease your range of motion thereby causing pain and discomfort in not only the origination of pain, but the surrounding areas begin to become affected as well.

In addition to helping with impaired movement, Gua Sha is also known to help with upper respiratory and digestive issues as well as having a positive effect on stimulating the immune system and anti-inflammatory responses. There are times when Gua Sha is not meant for you. If you are on blood thinners, have recently had surgery, a wound or swollen lymph node over the area that you are looking to have treated. As always, if you have questions, make sure to speak with your provider first.

***This technique is currently not covered by insurance and is an added cost.
Massage Therapy
Most massage techniques are based on the following types of movements: effleurage (gliding movement), compression, petrissage (kneading movement) and friction.

Benefits:
• Supplies an increase in circulation and lymph thereby helping support an optimum state of health for soft tissue (muscles).
• Aids in reducing hypertonicity (increased muscle tension) of the muscles, creates improved tone and flexibility, and promotes overall muscle balance.
• Increases self-awareness of the body thus reducing the likelihood of chronic problems.
• Contributes to the body’s natural healing process by decreasing muscle soreness and reducing inflammation and edema as well as improve and regain muscular balance by decreasing muscle cramping and spasms.
• Promotes mental relaxation thereby decreasing stress.
Chiropractic Adjustment
In many cases, such as lower back pain, chiropractic adjustment may be the primary method of treatment. When other medical conditions exist, chiropractic care may complement or support medical treatment by relieving the musculoskeletal aspects associated with the condition.

Personal Injury
Whether you are looking for relief from a concussion, whiplash, headaches, or bodily pain caused by either auto collisions or an injury at work, we can help. The combination of chiropractic care and massage therapy are an outstanding choice of treatment for soft tissue and spine related injuries. The most common ailments found in personal injury (auto accident) and worker’s compensation cases tend to be sprains and strains of the spinal muscles and ligaments, which makes our treatment the primary choice. We will work with your insurance company to ensure that you get the care that you need.
Rehabilitative Support
As your body begins to heal from the trauma of a surgery or injury, we begin rebuilding it with the use of exercises that are tailored to your needs. These exercises create a stable foundation, lessen your chance of re-injury, and improve your overall function. When coupled with massage therapy and corrective exercise, you have a complete system to return an individual back to their full potential.
Cupping Therapy
During a cupping session, a practitioner places round cups directly on your skin. The cup is either first heated with fire or manually pumped to create a suction. The cups are then left on your skin for several minutes. It is believed that the suction created by the cup encourages blood flow—and this increased circulation may promote healing and reduce pain. For most patients, cupping is safe to try and could complement an existing treatment plan. Like all therapies, it’s important to see a professional who has been trained and licensed appropriately. And before trying any new medical program, you should consult with your doctor.
